What is a lotion bar? A lotion bar is a solid block of lotion that can be used to moisturize the skin. Usually made with natural ingredients like shea butter, beeswax, and essential oils that stay solid at room temperature but melt slightly when warmed by body heat, making them easy to apply. Lotion bars can be used anywhere on the body, but are especially convenient for hands that are washed frequently. Lotion bars are a more sustainable alternative to traditional lotions because they don't come in plastic bottles and they don't contain added water. To use a lotion bar, you can rub it between your hands or run it under warm water for a few seconds to soften it. Then, you can spread it over the area you want to moisturize.

About the class:

Learn how to make your own lotion bar, the importance of clean and natural ingredients, and the benefits of certain essential oils and herbs. In this fun make and take class we will explore the process of DIY lotion bars and the skills learned can be repeated in your own kitchen. We will also package the lotion bars, making this the perfect gift to yourself or others. A great class to enjoy with a friend or two.
